It’s the time of year where life is busy and full and it’s easy to get lost in all the happenings. I love advent! It’s a time of bring forth joy and mirth, to reminisce of things past, to look for new beginnings. I realize it is not always a joyous time. So much time is spent with loved ones that when one is no longer present, for whatever reason, the pain is ever present. Whether it’s because of relocation, relationships ending, death, divorce, the pain is often great and the merriment of the season is dulled and a time of bittersweetness.
I want you to know, if that is you, you are not alone. It’s ok to not be ok.
That being said, this will be my only post this month. I want to be present with my family as we prepare our hearts and homes for the birth of Christ and build anticipation for his ultimate return. So from all of us here, merry Christmas! May the shortness of the days and the length of the nights be filled with merriment and cheer.
