You may be wondering, “where is Karen? Why hasn’t she written anything?” I’m not gone, I promise. I’m still trying to figure out summer and this pandemic, but I did have a very long, rambling Facebook Live the other day in which I discussed the importance of the Jerusalem Council in the context of Galatians.
Long and rambling. I did better about preparing for it, but even so, forty minutes passed and I realized I really need to whittle down my FB Lives. Each time, I learn a little bit more about going live.
Even though I got very passionate about the Gospel and the conditions we unwittingly put on others to accept the excellent news that Jesus is King and going to return to a New Heaven and a New Earth, forty minutes is a bit long. So now to try and whittle down Galatians into bite sized nuggets, but there is so much there! I was ecstatic when I learned Beth Moore and her daughter wrote a Bible study of Galatians and I look forward to participating online in a couple of months.
Additionally, I’ve officially opened my own discord server to continue a community aspect online, but (full transparency here), I’m not the greatest at maintaining communication. It’s pretty quiet with six members currently, but if you want to join, let me know, and I can send you a link. I’m still new to this.
With fall and the return to distance learning around the corner for me and the kids, I’m not sure what’s next for this blog. It may remain sporadic, or, I may take a page out of a friend’s book and actively work on writing and self publishing Bible Studies and try to work on further refining this blog as a platform for sharing glimpses into my rather boring life, tips into Bible study, and answering questions as I get them. As I continue to figure out my way around the supersaturated blogosphere and self publishing authors, I covet your prayers for guidance. Ultimately, whatever happens is in His hands and He just gives me a glimpse into obedience, taking steps here and there as they pop up. Anyway, that’s a snapshot into what’s happening lately. How are you doing, friend? I’d love to hear from you!
